  • Stairmaster SM5 Stairmaster SM916 Best prices PERIOD in the USA

Hi, this is Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and Studio-Cycles.com. It is June 23rd Saturday 2012 and in this short YouTube video I wanna talk about Stairmaster SM916 step mills and the 2012 version of the SM916 step mill which is now called the SM5 and also the new SC5 which is their step climber. We are an official, I don’t know what’s that worth, official Stairmaster authorized dealer. I have 2 retail stores. The significance of my retail stores is that they are the only brick and mortar indoor cycling specific retail stores in the world and as you look around my warehouse – it’s a little dark in here but clearly we are in the indoor cycling business. We keep, I don’t know, anywhere from 400-600 bikes in our inventory between our 2 stores and our warehouse. This is a 15,000 square foot warehouse but specifically in this video I have 2 SM916s. I have 1 SM916 here. This is a 2011 model. It’s brand new. We had 2 of these leftover in stock because we’re an official installer for Stairmaster Schwinn. So we have 2 SM916s. This one is built. This would be a great opportunity to get an SM916 if you’re in the Southern California area or if you wanted one for your home or your personal gym. We have another SM916. It’s over here and this SM916 is up on the rack and it’s crated. So we could actually ship that one. So if you’re in the Southern California area and you want an SM916 that’s built, you can call me at 888-909-BIKE. Call me at 310-664-1375 or you can call me at 818-470-2204. If you want a built SM916 or if you’re in another part of the country and you’d like an SM916 that’s fully crated. Also you can call me if you want a great deal on multiples of the Stairmaster SC5 Step Climber to commercial unit or the SM5 which is the new version of this step mill here. Every club has a row of these. This is the butt shaper of all time. But every club has the black box with the disappearing stairs. This is the SM916. The new 2012 version of this is just wrapped in fancier plastic and it’s called a SM5.And we can get those. We’re obviously an indoor cycling company. In fact we’re an authority on indoor cycles and have been for 15 years. If you want a pro-built, hand tuned Star Trac, Schwinn, LeMond, Keiser – I do have a few FreeMotions although I’m not a big FreeMotion fan. But we pro-build and tune our bikes before we ship them out. We actually take the bike out of the box, we tear it apart, we build it, we tune it. The bike is fully assembled and then I ride and adjust every single bike that goes through my company. And then we over package it so that the bike doesn’t get damaged in shipping. We have certified pre-owned bikes. We have brand new 2012 models from Star Trac, Schwinn, Keiser, LeMond and we offer lifetime warranties on our commercial bikes. We offer lifetime warranties on our certified pre-owned Star Tracs and Schwinns which no one else in the world does. But if you call me directly if you want bike for your home or you’re looking for bikes for a club. The absolute best in the business when it comes to indoor cycles. I’m a Spinning instructor. Taught 1000s of classes. I write all the technical manuals for the fitness industry for indoor bikes. I teach at the World Spinning conferences. I’m the only official VIP, official or unofficial at times, outside tech support and consultant to Schwinn, to Star Trac, to Spinning, to Mad Dogg Athletics. I’ve consulted with FreeMotion. I’ve spoken with Trixter, I’ve spoken with Keiser, I’ve spoken with LeMond. Just did some consulting with Matrix for the Livestrong bikes – blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah – Spinning bikes, Indoor cycles – that’s what I specialize in. So you call me: 888-909-BIKE. 310-664-1375. Cell Phone 818-470-2204. You can reach me 10M to 10PM 7 days a week and I’d be happy to talk to you. I guarantee you if you make an attempt to call other companies – call Billy Bob’s Bike Barn and Big Box fitness and Best Blowout Price dot blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Talk to them about specifics and you’ll get 0. Call me and talk to me about any bike on the market. I’ll tell you about it. I’ll tell you what’s good. I’ll tell you what’s bad. If you have multi-purpose. Maybe it’s a petite woman, tall guy, if you’re a older couple, if you have knee issues, if you’re a runner, if you’re big and beefier, skinny and tall. I know what works. So I wanna thank you for taking the time to watch this video. I’m Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and Studio-Cycles.com. Thanks for listening and best of luck to you on your road to health and fitness.

  • Used Schwinn AC Performance bikes for sale - BEWARE

Hi, this is Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and Studio-Cycles.com. This is short video about refurbished AC Performances’ that you will see floating around out there. The AC Performance is discontinued for 2013 because of the introduction of the AC Performance Plus which is very very similar. But the reason I’m doing this video on the AC Performances’ – they introduced the AC Performance and AC Performance Plus about 3 or 4 years ago and the average lease time for fitness equipment in commercial facilities is 3-4 years. So you’re gonna start seeing a lot of AC Performances’ and AC Performance Sports for sale online. And one of the things that drives me nuts is the way that these fitness equipment companies throw around the term refurbished or they’ll say the bike’s been cleaned and serviced or it’s been cleaned and inspected. Which means nothing. Trust me you do not want a bike that’s been in a club for 3-4 years, abused, ridden 3-4 times a day, 7 days a week and reactively maintained not proactively maintained. Plus if you a parallel the fact that most of these bikes are built like furniture from IKEA before they go into a club. They’re not pro-built, they’re not tuned, they’re not optimized. This is a bike that you really wanna do your homework on if you’re gonna buy it used. Then there are 2 areas of the AC bike that I pay particularly close attention to and I recommend that you do the same. One is the magnetic resistance mechanism. This is a mechanism that can easily involve 50-100 pieces. It’s not easy to take a part and put back together again. The AC Performance model and the AC Sport as well use the ISIS bottom bracket. The ISIS bottom bracket which is extremely challenging to remove and replace. I think a lot of companies, if it turns, they’ll leave it alone. I mean this is challenging for us to take out of the bike and replace from the bike is brand new if we find a defective bottom bracket. So these are the 2 key areas of the bike. And even if you have a company that takes them apart and paints them and puts them back together again – if you get a bike like this the AC Performance or the AC Sport and it feels like a chainsaw – don’t be surprised and I wouldn’t recommend calling the company where you get your bike from to help you walk you through adjusting it because if they would have done it correctly – they probably would have done it correctly in the first place. Direct telephone numbers for me Home Office is 888-909-BIKE. Cell Phone is 818-470-2204. My number here in Hawthorne is 310-973-BIKE. You can see if you look around our warehouse, this is the ultimate destination for indoor cycles. We’re not a fitness equipment company. We’re an indoor cycling company. We are the indoor cycling company. I ride, test and tune every bike that goes through my company. I write all the tech manuals. I can solve with all the major manufacturers and I’ve taught 1000s of classes. I know what these bikes are supposed to feel like. We take nothing for granted. When we sell a brand new bike we take it out of the box, we take it apart, we go through it then it’s built completely, then I ride and tune it. Then we do a partial disassembly, we over package, double box, we ship FedEx. We do lifetime part replacement for consumers on most every bike we sell. So keep that in mind. Don’t be swayed by price and price alone and be particularly careful if the website is using a stock photo. My direct telephone numbers again  888-909-BIKE that’s Home Office. Cell Phone is 818-470-2204 and here in Hawthorne you can reach me typically afternoons and evenings 310-973-BIKE. Take care and best of luck to you on your road to health.

  • IDEA Fitness Convention 2012 Spinner Bike Pro Build

Hi, this is Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and Studio-Cycles.com and it is Saturday late night July 7th 2012 and I’m exhausted. I’ve been in San Diego at the IDEA world fitness convention. I was down there walking the floor, meeting people and we did the professional build and install for the Star Trac booth at the IDEA world fitness convention. I just stopped by my warehouse on the way from San Diego back to my home in Santa Monica and I’ve been at the warehouse here for couple of hours. I just wanted to do a quick video on our Miller Family YMCA install that we are doing on Monday. I believe it’s the 9th. These are the 2012 Star Trac Spinner NXTs that we are delivering to the Miller Family YMCA on Monday. And Star Trac gave us this build and install. The new 2012 Star Trac Spinner NXT is a new generation. This would be the 4th generation of the new Star Trac Spinner NXT and it’s now a steel frame. I’ve done some videos on YouTube about the 2012 Star Trac Spinner NXT but this is it. I think we do probably the best job of delivering an optimized product. 99.99, in fact every other company I know of in the world, when they do an install, they take the bike out of the box, they bolt it together like a piece of furniture from IKEA. They’re typically not ridden, not tuned, not optimized, not tested. We do a pro-level build. We actually tear the bike apart before we put the bike together and then I personally ride and tune every single bike without exception. And that’s one of the things that I did tonight was I rode and tuned and adjusted each one these bikes so that they are optimal. I believe that the Star Tracs and Schwinns are probably the best bikes out there particularly for most mortal men and women because most people who ride these bikes are not serious cyclists and they don’t have a real strong pedal stroke. And the Schwinns and the Star Trac, they are chain driven so they have a bit of a feel although that is a disadvantage for most purchases because most companies don’t test and optimize and dial the bikes in a way that we do but our chain driven bikes tend to feel like a belt drive. They are actually very quiet. They are very smooth and what we do to the bikes prior to shipping them and these are going into a club so these will be built, these will be delivered fully built and tuned. But when you buy a bike from us for your home, we actually, anywhere else you buy it, they send you one of these. No one’s touched it. The person in China who put the bike in the box is the last person to touch it. You’ll be the next person to touch it. And if you have an issue with your bike, you will call that company and they will tell you to call Star Trac. I consulted on this bike and I know this bike as well as the manufacturer probably better because I notice all the subtle peculiarities when the bike comes out of the box and what needs to be, you know, aligned or tensioned or re-tapped. Even something as simple as leveling and centering the saddle. So if you wanna buy 1 bike for your home, we’re the company because we do pro-level building. We over package. It’ll take you longer to unpack our bike than to put it together and then we’re the only company that I know of in the world where if you’re a consumer you buy a bike from us we do a lifetime free part replacement and you get lifetime email and phone tech support and that tech support is with me. I don’t farm my calls. I don’t send you to another country. I don’t tell you to call the manufacturer. You call me directly. I’m the one who handles all of the technical issues with our bikes and I gotta tell you we have very, very, very few technical issues. And if you’re looking for a group of bikes for your club, this warehouse is absolutely the ultimate destination. We have a custom built facility. We have custom bikes. This is our testing area over here. So if you wanna buy a bike from Schwinn, Star Trac, Keiser, LeMond, FreeMotion, you call me. If you buy a certain number of bikes, I will actually pay for your flight and your hotel to come to my company. You can ride all the major brands side by side by side tuned. We’re also a Stairmaster dealer. In fact we got the fastest growing national distributor award for Stairmaster. We also sell their step mill. Step Mill 5. We carry the SC5 which is the step climber. And we have a couple of the SM916’s brand new. I will beat anybody’s price on mills or climbers. If you’re in Southern California we can do a pro-build. You can pick it up or we can do a pro-build and deliver it into your home or your club or wherever you want it to go. So call me directly - 888-909-BIKE. 310-664-1375 Cell Phone 818-470-2204. And I guarantee you that the conversation you have with me will eclipse all conversations you have will all other companies combined because of my knowledge about these bikes. I’m not a fitness equipment company. I’m an indoor cycling company and I am the guy in the industry globally in the free world when it comes to a perfectly built, tuned and optimized bike. I guarantee it. No question. And not only that but how many companies in the world can you call and you can talk directly to the owner and the owner has the depth and knowledge that I have. And I always say this, if you’re not buying an indoor group cycle or a Spinner model who gives two craps about what I know. But I’ve been doing this for close to 20 years and I’m considered the best at what I do because I take every bike personally. I ride and tune every bike that leaves my company I’m Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and I wanna thank you for taking the time to watch this video. You can call me 10AM to 10PM, 7 days a week. Best of luck to you on your road to health and fitness. And by the way I have the only 2 brick and mortar retail stores in the world - one in Laguna Niguel, California, one in Venice, California. They are open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. If you wanna come in on any other day we’ll make a private appointment for you. And I wanna thank you for taking the time to watch this video and best of luck to you on your road to health and fitness.

  • New Spinner Bikes San Diego LIFETIME warranty

Hi, I’m Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and Studio-Cycles.com and in this short YouTube video I wanna talk about buying a new Spinner model in the San Diego area. I own a company called StudioCycles and I am the most knowledgeable and have the deepest background and the most pedigrees of any single individual in the indoor cycling industry in the free world. I’m an indoor cycling company specific. Not a fitness equipment company. I have the only technical manual library in the world. Six manuals. I’ve written all of them. If you call major companies about questions about their bikes, they have my manuals next to their phones. I am the only official technical support for Spinning in the world and have been for years and years and years. I have the only brick and mortar indoor cycling specific retail stores in the world - one in Laguna Niguel, one in Venice, California. I have a 15,000 square foot warehouse in Hawthorne, California where I am standing now. We carry Star Trac, Schwinn, Keiser, LeMond. We used to carry FreeMotion. Not anymore. But if you are a club looking for bikes and you wanna come to one location and try all the mainstream bikes under one roof built, tuned side by side by side and you wanna have the differences explained to you – I am your guy. If you want 1 bike for your home and you are in Southern California specifically Orange County or San Diego or wherever Laguna Niguel. We have a retail store with 40-50 bikes and it’s run by a certified Spinning instructor. But you can call me directly - 888-909-BIKE. 310-664-1375 or 818-470-2204. You can call me directly. 10AM to 10PM 7 days a week and talk to me about what you’re looking for. If you find a deal that seems to be too good to be true – call me and tell me about it. Beware of the fitness equipment warehouses and beware of the terms like cleaned and serviced. Let’s say Spectrum gets brand new bikes. By the way we put brand new bikes in all the Spectrums, all the Equinoxes, 100s and 100s. 1000s of new bikes. Because we do pro-level building. We don’t bolt bikes together like furniture from IKEA. And since I am an active Spinning instructor and a former professional cyclist and I ride and tune every single bike that leaves my company without exception. I find everything that could, you know, hem you up or if you’re a Spinning instructor or an indoor cyclist and you want a bike for your home and you want the perfect bike, I know what it feels to go to a club and you have to show up early to get a good bike. They should all be good. I have a service company. We service indoor group cycles and it’s odd because the companies and the facilities that we service – people don’t typically have to show up to get a good bike because across the board they’re all the same. Clubs tend to be reactive not proactive with their maintenance and that’s why bikes break because they fix ‘em when they break. If you’re proactive with the maintenance, they typically don’t break or you catch stuff before it breaks and you don’t have bikes down. Hence you don’t have to show up early to get a good bike. Back to the subject at hand. If you’re buying a bike for yourself or for your club – this is the ultimate destination for you to buy your bike. Period. Hands down. 15,000 square feet. 400-600 bikes in stock. Or go to one of our brick and mortar retail stores in Laguna or Venice and we’re professionals. We’re not fitness equipment companies. We are not brokers. It really bothers me that there are people online, they pictures of other people’s websites or other people’s warehouses – giant jam packed warehouses full of tons of shot out used fitness equipment and they put those pictures on their website like it’s their website, like it’s their warehouse. And then you call them and then they meet you at the warehouse and you walk around you’re in Home Depot looking at stuff and typically the warranty is nothing. No warranty. No rebuilding. Prices are usually attractive but that’s the hook. That’s the carrot. Low price but no warranty, no rebuild. Our prices are reasonable too but our bikes have lifetime warranties. And when a bike comes back to us and we didn’t build it – it doesn’t matter if it’s 3 months old or 5 years old. We tear it down to the bare frame and rebuild it from the inside out. No exceptions. If you have a problem with you’re bike and you’re in California and you bought your bike from us and you’re a consumer, you bring it back to us and we’ll fix it for free as long as you own it. You have my word. With all that being said I wanna ask you to call me 310-664-1375. Cell Phone 818-470-2204. Toll Free 888-909-BIKE. Visit us online at Studio-Cycles.com. I’m Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and I wanna thank you for taking the time to watch this video.

  • Schwinn AC Sport Bike Reviews

Hi, I’m Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and Studio-Cycles.com and in this short YouTube video I wanna talk about customer reviews on the Schwinn AC Sport. Now I have been doing indoor group cycles for close to 20 years. I don’t know anybody else in the industry or the free world that has the depth or scope of experience that I have. I’ve taught 1000s of classes. I’ve written a dozen of the most comprehensive, respected technical manuals specifically to the indoor cycling industry. If you call a lot of the biggest manufacturers in the industry, in the indoor cycling industry, they have my manuals next to their phones for their tech support hotlines. I’ve built, tuned, refurbished and installed tens of thousands of these bikes over the last 15-20 years. I have the only brick and mortar indoor cycling retail stores in the world. I have the largest indoor cycling specific multi-brand warehouse in the world. And I ride and tune every single bike that I sell. And I was a consultant on the AC Series bikes for Schwinn for 2 years or almost 2 years before they released the bikes and I was just awarded the fastest growing national distributor award from Stairmaster Schwinn for 2011 at the IHRSA fitness trade show here in Los Angeles a few weeks back. So I am qualified to report this. Here’s my take on online reviews-: 1. Almost every other company, in fact, every other company that I know of that sells the Schwinn AC bikes specifically the AC Sport, they do one thing – they process a credit card, they send you a box. That is it. That’s the extent of their involvement. End of story. Point blank. Done. When we sell an AC Sport to a consumer or put it into a club we don’t first of all, we don’t build it like a piece of furniture from IKEA. So if you do go somewhere and test the bike, it was most likely built fast and with conventional wisdom. Bolted together. Twallah. There’s your bike. When we build an AC Sport, we actually tear the bike apart before we build it. We do a drivetrain treatment. We change thread barrels. We align, tension, lubricate. We have a 35-40 step build process. We call it the quiet tune build process and the last thing that happens to that bike before it goes into a box or goes into a club is my ass on the seat and I ride, test and tune and align and tension every single bike that leaves my company, period, without exception. So when that happens you end up with the commercial bike, the most evolved bike series in the fitness industry today the Schwinn AC series bikes and you end up with the bike that is optimized to perfection. Now online reviewers they tend to have a limited scope. Maybe an instructor rides a bike that’s you know, that’s my favorite bike, that’s the bike you have to have. Why? Because you like it and it’s the only bike you know of and you’ve been riding it for the last 5 years. Bad idea. You maybe shorter. You may be taller But you might be a cyclist. You might be a non-cyclist. Things like aggressive inertia. Q factor. Biomechanics in the front of the bike, in the back of the bike. There are a lot of things that come into play when choosing the right bike. Multiple parties. Maybe your husband’s taller than you are. Maybe you’re 5’ 2” and your husband is 6’ 1”. There are certain bikes that work great for multiple parties. There are certain bikes that work specifically to a certain sized person and their scope of experience particularly if you’re a non-cyclist. Maybe you’re a runner and you’re trying to rehab knees and you wanna not get surgery but you wanna get you know all those years of impact. Countermeasure with a type of exercise that will promote rehabilitation and heal. There are bikes that are perfect for that. There are bikes that are horrible for that. So the Schwinn AC Sports has the most magnets. It has the strongest bottom bracket. It has the most dynamic handlebars. It has the first comfortable aero position I’ve seen on a bike ever. Flat spots for the forearms and a nice biomechanical radius – it fits the natural curve of the forearm when you engage the aero position. Why am I going on and on about aero positions because if you wanna work the butt, the quads and the core and you engage an aero position, load the resistance, drop your heals and grind from the saddle – there isn’t any exercise that I have ever seen in my life that hits butts, quads and core like a seeded climb with resistance in the aero position and the AC Sport will do that for you. We also have a smoking deal on that bike. Again it’s June 22nd 2012. We’ve got the 2012 Schwinn AC Performance pro-built, hand tuned with the $500 Empower wattage base console for $1449 with 5-6 days fully insured UPS door-to-door shipping. You can call me directly 888-909-BIKE. 310-664-1375 or Cell Phone 818-470-2204. You can call me 10AM to 10PM 7 days a week and you talk to me. If you ever have a problem with your bike, I don’t tell you to call the manufacturer which is what you get from anybody else. You have a problem, you have a question about your bike, you talk to me directly. We sold over 900 bikes last year. I’ve had very very few calls. We had 2 UPS claims last year out of all the bikes that we shipped because of our packaging. Even our packaging is absolutely extraordinary compared to what everybody else does which is simply process your card, grab a box, put it on the truck, see you later. You got a problem with your bike – call the company that made the bike. Not with us. Never, it’s never been that way. It never will be that way. I’m Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and Studio-Cycles.com. I’m gonna give you those phone numbers one more time 888-909-BIKE. 310-664-1375. Cell Phone 818-470-2204. I wanna thank you for taking the time to watch this video and best of luck to you on your road to health and fitness.

  • 2012 Schwinn AC Performance Bike Packages - Studio-Cycles.com

Hi, this is Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and Studio-Cycles.com. It is Wednesday, I believe June 13th and in this short YouTube video I wanna talk about our 2012 Schwinn AC Performance packages that we have. First of all we were awarded fastest growing national distributor for Stairmaster Schwinn at the IHRSA fitness show this year due to our sales last year and the bulk of our sales last year were for indoor group cycles and we specialize in indoor group cycles. If you haven’t checked us out, visit us online at Studio-Cycles.com. I am considered the most knowledgeable individual in the indoor cycling industry for what I do and for the length of time I’ve been doing this. I’ve written all the tech manuals for the indoor cycling industry in the last 15 years. My manuals are considered the Bibles in the industry for taking care of the bikes. We are an indoor cycling company. We are not a fitness equipment company. What sets us apart from every other company in the free world is that if you buy your bikes online or if you buy a bike for your home online or if you buy your bikes for your club online – basically what happens is your credit card is processed and you’re sent boxes or a box. That’s a box up there. That’s what gonna show up to your home or your facility and the company you buy it from most likely will have nothing to do with what’s inside the box. They won’t touch what’s in the box and if you have a problem with what’s inside the box they probably will tell you to call the manufacturer. What we do here at StudioCycles, if you buy a bike for your home or if you buy bikes for your club, we take the bikes out of the box, we tear them apart, we do a pro-level build and tune and we do about a 35-40 process when we put a bike together and we do a drivetrain treatment and finally the bike is fully assembled like these bikes here and what happens is I personally ride and tune every single bike without exception. And in my company may have a dozen employees but I ride and tune every single bike myself. I have the only 2 brick and mortar indoor cycling stores in the world. We have the only authorized spinning retail brick and mortar locations in the world. We have a store at Laguna Niguel. We have a store in Venice, California. And I ride and tune every single bike that goes through my company without exception. If you’re a consumer what you may or may not know is that when you buy a bike online and it arrives to your house and you bolt it together like a piece of furniture from IKEA – there are lot of things on that bike that may or may not work in your favor because they may not be lubricated, they may not be aligned, they may not be tensioned. We open bikes on a fairly regular basis and find damaged bikes. And what we do is we correct any damage and then our packaging process is absolutely second to none. When you look at the packaging that these bikes come in, they are more apt to work in the favor of the end user if there are 4 or 8 or 10 of these things strapped to a pallet in a huge group. What we do when we package our bikes is we over package everything. We use strapping tape, we use metal buckles, we use polymer straps. We double box everything. We over package everything. In fact we get a lot of complaints – that complaints is just – they explained to us that it takes then longer to unpack the bike than to does to put the it together. So one other notable about the Schwinn AC Performance is that it’s been out about 3-3.5 years now and in my estimation it’s probably the most evolved bike out there. It has magnetic resistance. It has the most dynamic handlebars with the most positions that go forwards and backwards. It’s aluminum frame. So it’s easy to move around and it’s corrosion resistant. It has the ISIS technology implemented into the bottom bracket and the bottom bracket is the bearing assembly that the crankarms rotate on which is typically a failure area on a lot of bikes. They have a wattage base computer that they have version 2 empower consoles now that are about the best out there. And we have packaged deals on these bikes. If you buy 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 bikes what happens is we pick them up from the distribution center. We bring them here. We unbox them, we tear them apart. We go entirely through them and then put them back into the box and we send them to you. And I guarantee you if you can screw a nut and a bolt together you will do as good of a job as 99% of the fitness equipment companies in the world and here’s why – In the fitness industry what happens is fitness equipment companies are accustomed to uncrating or unboxing pieces of equipment and bolting the pieces to the main frame of the unit. Here’s a perfect example – this is a Stairmaster SM916 which a lot of you’ve seen. This is a favorite for the women at the gyms because it tones the butt and the legs like nothing well outside the indoor cycling and spinning. But when you uncrate this thing – you bolt the hand rails, you bolt the mass, you bolt the display unit and that’s it. That’s your assembly. When fitness equipment companies typically put indoor bikes together they uncrate them or unbox them and they bolt the pieces on and there’s your build. In my experience in over 15 years I have yet to see a fitness equipment company yet that when they’re finished bolting the bike together in other words you bolt the bases, there’s one on the front, there’s one on the rear – you screw the pedals on, you put the seat tower in the frame, the seat slider on top of the seat tower, you put the handlebars on the bike and that is your assembly. What about the alignment of the magnet basket? What about the tensioning of the chain or the lubrication of the chain? What about the tension in the magnet basket and the alignment of the magnet basket? What about the pitch on the teeth of the flywheel sprocket or the pitch on the teeth of the chain wheel in the rear? What about the mobility of the levelers? What about the correct tension setting for the interface on the clip pedals? We do so much to our bikes before we send them out. You’d be amazed if you saw all the things that we did. And then if you’re a fitness equipment company, I’m sorry a fitness facility looking for bikes, we have packages on the Schwinn AC Performances. When you factor in our pro-level building and tuning, our over packaging and then – here’s what you do – you have a bike building party – get some wine, get some friends, have a little party on a Saturday or a Sunday. Don’t drink too much wine or you’re seats will be going backwards. But what you do is you have a conference call with me and a group of people – get 3 or 4 people who mechanical aptitude including or not including yourself. Take your time. Put the bikes together. Here’s why this is you’d probably do a better job than a fitness equipment company. You have a vested interest in your bikes. You have paid for your bikes. And watching all those bikes go together or putting them together yourself, gives a sense of pride and accomplishment that you won’t get watching a fitness equipment company bolt your bikes together as fast as they can. Plus if you have an issue with a bike or a computer, we do not tell you to call the manufacturer. You call us. I consulted on this bike for 2 years before it was released. No one in the world knows this bike better than I do and the Schwinn AC Performance or it’s little brother the Schwinn AC Sport – in my opinion are 2 of the most evolved bikes out there. You have perimeter weighting. You have magnetic resistance. You have a wattage base computer with a USB port where you can upload data. This bike is – it’s really, really hard to beat. So before you spend your money on a group of bikes and you get a slick talking salesman here’s what I hate – you meet with a salesman from a fitness equipment company blah, blah, blah, blah, blah – promise, promise, promise, promise, promise. They walk away with a check and a signature and then a team of monkeys comes in and builds your bikes as fast as they can because they’ve got 4 more clubs to do that day. Different story with us. You get your best deal, you call me direct and we’ll talk about how I can help you out. My telephone numbers - 310-664-1375 Cell Phone 818-470-2204 Toll Free 888-909-BIKE. I’m Jeff Wimmer. I own the company. You can call me 10AM to 10PM 7 days a week and I will help you get the best deal on your bike. If you find another deal on a bike Keiser, Schwinn, LeMond, Star Trac, FreeMotion – call me first. I wanna thank you for taking the time to watch this video and best of luck to you on your road to health and fitness.

  • Schwinn AC Performance vs FreeMotion S11.9 Comparison

Hi, I’m Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles and Studio-Cycles.com and in this short YouTube video I’m going to compare the 2012 Schwinn AC Performance with the 2012 FreeMotion S11.9. My history is over 15 years deep specific to indoor group cycles. I’ve written all the technical manuals in the indoor cycling industry in the last 15 years. I’ve built, tuned, installed, refurbished and repaired over a 100,000 commercial indoor group cycles. I am a direct consultant to Star Trac, to Schwinn, to Mad Dogg Athletic and Spinning. I have the most amazing warehouse in Hawthorne, California with 12 workstations, a 100 foot long workbench and we keep 400-600 bikes in stock at all times. I personally ride and tune every single bike that I sell and you know what I do differently is when you buy a bike online from any other company, they process your credit card and send you a box. You buy a bike from us we take it out of the box, we tear it apart, we optimize it, it’s fully assembled. I ride and tune the bike – I ride and tune every bike that goes through my company whether it’s going into a club or into one of my 2 stores. By the way I have the only 2 brick and mortar indoor cycling retail stores in the world. And I’m most likely the only guy in the world who owns a company, builds the bikes, tunes the bikes, owns the stores that you can call directly if you wanna buy a bike or you can call directly if you have a problem. We also do lifetime part replacement on most other commercial bikes we sell and even on our certified pre-owned Star Tracs and Schwinns. So getting this out of the way, I’m gonna give you some phone numbers. You can call me directly 10AM to 10PM, 7 days a week - 310-664-1375. Cell Phone is 818-470-2204. Toll Free is 888-909-BIKE and our store in Laguna Niguel, California is 949-581-BIKE. And our store in Venice, California is 310-392-BIKE. And the stores are open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and if you look on our website you’ll see phone numbers that are for private appointments on those other days. Just have the courtesy to give our store manages a little bit of a heads up and they’ll be happy to meet you one-on-one to show you bikes and get you dialed in. We carry Star Trac, Schwinn, FreeMotion, Keiser and LeMond – the 5 most popular companies in the industry. And again this video is about the 2012 Schwinn AC Performance versus the 2012 FreeMotion S11.9. Now when FreeMotion first introduced their bikes at a trade show a year and a half ago and I met with the guys at FreeMotion, I was very excited because basically the team that designed the FreeMotion bike designed the Schwinn bike and I thought well these guys are really – you know, I was enamored by the fact that such an impressive team has put together this bike and presented it to FreeMotion and FreeMotion chose to sell the bike. And the bike at the trade show was very impressive but the bikes that were delivered to me to sell in my stores were far less impressed with those. And for lack of a better term I’ve really cooled off towards FreeMotion. I sell a lot of bikes. I ride a lot of bikes and I work on a lot of bikes and I don’t think there’s anybody else in the world knows these bikes the way that I do. So here’s the Schwinn AC Performance. This is one of our best selling bikes. It’s been out 3 years now and we’ve put it in all the Spectrum clubs in California, all the Equinox clubs in California The AC Performance is the top of the line bike. AC stands for Authentic Cycle. I mean it’s very impressive geometry, very easy bike to set up. It has magnetic resistance. It uses ISIS spline technology in the bottom brackets. So you’ll never snap a crank even if you’re a 500 pound lumber jack masher. It has an available onboard computer called the Empower console and you can get this console with wattage. The AC Performance has probably the most dynamic handle bar I think of any bike in the industry. It has multiple hand positions, a comfortable aero position. It has a flat spot for your forearms which I think is really impressive. The magnetic resistance is really nice. I mean it’s aluminum frame, aluminum bases, aluminum towers and it has a fore-aft handle bar and it has a fore-aft saddle. Most bikes do come with an SPD basket clip pedal. When we build this bike we tear it apart, we do drivetrain optimization process. We call it the quiet tune process. This is the FreeMotion S11.8 and now looking back and all the things I heard from the FreeMotion camp basically the guys who designed this bike – they basically just knocked off the AC Performance and tried to make it better. But if you look at the handlebars on the S series bikes, they’re flat. It’s a time bar. I think for most normal human beings there’s not a lot of hand positions. This is your amount of adjustment right here. And I’ve heard a lot of rumblings from LA Fitness about the handle bar not staying tight. They have an adjustable magnet basket on their bike. I think it’s a great concept but it’s extremely difficult to adjust. And I adjust a lot of these bikes. I think the average mortal man or woman will struggle with this adjustment. Also they use a 2 mm chain tensioning screw to adjust the chain which is just ridiculously small. I don’t think you could get much smaller and the smaller the hardware the more likely it is to strip out. This is the S11.9. It has a chain drive and they’re coming out with a belt drive bike. And they’re using a different type of a belt. They’re using a belt that claims to feel like a chain. I rode it at the IHRSA show – 2012 IHRSA show here in Los Angeles a couple of months ago and I wasn’t impressed. It just felt very very odd to me. It wasn’t smooth. You know one of the benefits of a belt is the smooth quiet nature but typically with belt driven bikes they don’t have perimeter weighting or aggressive inertia. So they tend to provoke an up down, up down, up down pedal stroke. The chain drive gives the bike a bicycle feel and I think if you want to build an exercise bike build an exercise bike. If you want to build a high-performance indoor group cycle, have some relativity to a bicycle on some level. So with all that being said we sell the Schwinn AC Performances. We have great deals on these whether you’re buying 1 or you’re buying a 100. We ship anywhere in the country one bike or a 100 bikes. We’re the only company in the world that does lifetime warranties for consumers and we’re the only company in the world that I know of that doesn’t build our bikes like furniture from IKEA. Fitness equipment companies are bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, how fast, how fast, how fast, come on, come on, more, more, more, more, more. I mean typically the guys who put these bikes together not all of them, they have limited skill set. I mean you could train a monkey to bolt a spin bike together or an indoor group cycle together. To make the bike per and be optimized and because as a spinning, as an indoor cycling instructor or participant in indoor cycling or spinning, the last thing you wanna think about is the bike. You want the music, the rhythm, the movements not the bike. And that’s what we do and that’s who we are. I’m Jeff Wimmer from StudioCycles. I wanna thank you for taking the time to watch this video and I encourage you to call me with any and all questions. If you’re looking at Keiser, Schwinn, Star Trac, LeMond or FreeMotion. I’m your guy. I know the ins and outs of all these bikes. I don’t think anybody else in the world has the knowledge base that I have. I’m here for you. Thanks for taking the time to watch this video best of luck to you on your road to health and fitness.
